1.The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, held a regular meeting of the State Security Council, at which the results of the work of the military and law enforcement agencies for the first four months of 2024 were summarized.

The head of the state gave instructions on the organization of celebrations dedicated to Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, which will be held on May 9 in Ashgabat and provinces.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the issues of modernization of the judicial system, implementation of digital technologies in the work of law enforcement agencies, strengthening of personnel potential and improvement of professionalism of employees.

2.Within the framework of the Ashgabat City Day celebration, the 23rd Universal International Exhibition “White City Ashgabat” will be held on May 24-25 in the exhibition hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

For two days, the exhibition will provide a platform for demonstrating the achievements of various spheres of activity related to the development of Ashgabat.

3. The parliamentary delegation of Japan headed by the chairman of the Japanese-Turkmen interparliamentary friendship group, Toshiaki Endo, a member of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament, will arrive in Ashgabat on May 12 for a three-day visit.

4.The forces of the inclusive children's studio under the leadership of Tatyana Ovezmuradova at the Russian Drama Theater named after A.S.Pushkin in Ashgabat staged a performance “Japbaki” based on the book of the Turkmen writer Berdy Kerbabayev.
