Downpours in Dubai: more than 10 000 emergencies in one day

In Dubai, heavy rains led to more than 10 000 emergencies in one day, MIR24 reports. Water flooded the basements and first floors of houses, as well as courtyards.

As a result of the natural disaster, schools and government agencies have switched to remote work.

Dubai Airport was forced to cancel several flights and planes were diverted to other cities.

The country remains at an “orange” alert level on Sunday. In this regard, beaches are closed, some roads and tunnels are blocked, and public events are cancelled.

The situation is under the control of the authorities, who are taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of residents and guests of the city.
