Ecology lessons are organized for the children on holidays in Gyokdere

The specialists of Nature Protection Society held the cycle of ecology lessons with the children.Educational action, aimed at formation of ecological culture, was opened by the presentation about the flora and fauna representatives inhabiting the territory of our country, rare species of animals and plants listed in the Red Book of Turkmenistan as well as the story about national reserves.

The kids found out that Badkhyz Reserve is famous with pistachio and afghan fig groves, antelopes, leopards and other representatives of flora and fauna.They made virtual trip to Kaplankyr, Amudarya, Hazar, Koytendag, Kopetdag, Repetek and Syunt Hasardag Reserves, which territories host dozens of birds and animal species including flamingo, pink pelican, red deer, markhor, lynx, Pallas’ cat, brown bear, porcupine, honey badger and others.

The group of elders joined nature protection event in “Altyn Summul” Children Centre. They spoke with the children about the importance of careful treatment of the environment.

The kids improved their gained knowledge in interesting contests. They expressed their attitude nature protection subject in the pictures, which made unified exposition about unique nature of homeland.

At the end of topical cycle, the participants was awarded with memorable gifts. The library of one of the health-improvement centres was supplemented with two volumes of the Red Book of Turkmenistan for further expansion of children’s knowledge.
