On October 14, on the first day of the traditional meeting of National Commissions for UNESCO, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Paris hosted a lunch at UNESCO headquarters.
Permanent representatives, ambassadors to UNESCO and secretaries general of the National Commissions for UNESCO of the TURKSOY member states were invited to the lunch.
During the event, Chinar Rustamova, the executive secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, spoke. She acquainted the guests present with the activities carried out in Turkmenistan aimed at solving the problems arising from the 10th meeting of the National Commissions for UNESCO of the TURKSOY member states in Ashgabat.
Ch. Rustamova also put forward a number of proposals on issues of uniting the efforts of regional countries to preserve and popularize ancient heritage sites, ensuring their inclusion in UNESCO lists, according to a press release from the National Commissions of Turkmenistan for UNESCO.
Let us remind that the traditional meeting of the National Commissions for UNESCO is held within the framework of the 220th session of the UNESCO Executive Board from October 14 to 15.
