As known, soon Turkmenistan marks the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality. Would you like to tell few words about the energy diplomacy of Turkmenistan?
Taking an opportunity, I want to congratulate Turkmenistan on this significant date. Your country plays a key role in Central Asia and takes the main role from the point of view of geography and geopolitics. Its neutral status now, more than ever, is important for the entire region.
The purpose of foreign policy of Turkmenistan is to co-operate with all neighbours. Moreover, its power resources are the important factor of economic progress, and huge estimated stocks of natural gas can lay a way to the further development.
Routes of export of energy carriers from Turkmenistan open ample opportunities for many joint projects and, hence, for power dialogue and diplomacy.Concrete examples of how Turkmenistan strengthens the energy diplomacy, and also its firm readiness to promote peace dialogue and steady economic development with observance of the international standards, this is the building of the gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) which, according to all interested parties and partners, will give a powerful impulse to the economic growth in the region.
Besides, there is also a transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan Uzbekistan Kazakhstan China.
All these projects in gas and energy sectors show that Turkmenistan is the leader in the field of energy in regions of CA and Southern Caucasus, and is full of determination to promote dialogue and to promote regional and economic integration.
Being in the centre of the Great Silk road, as peacemaker and advocate of ideas of energy diplomacy Turkmenistan plays a key role in the region.
