Expected Oil Condensate Output Growth in Turkmenistan’s Balkan Province Revealed

Turkmenistan aims to increase oil condensate production in its western province of Balkan to 10.6 million tons by 2025, Hangeldi Gurbangeldiyev, Head of Economic Risk Analysis Department of Agency on Protection of Economy from Risks under the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, said in an article published in the official press of Turkmenistan on Wednesday.

There are also plans to increase annual natural gas production in the province to 11 billion cubic meters by 2025.

In addition, Turkmenbashi oil refinery, located in Balkan province, intends to increase gasoline production by 29 percent, diesel fuel- by 20.4 percent, and lubricants 3-fold.

According to Hangeldy Gurbangeldiyev, in 2022-2052, it is planned to use new, promising fields of the entire Balkan region and western, southern, northern regions and the Caspian and Gogerendag-Ekerem fields for oil production.

Currently, the share of the Balkan province in production, including industrial products, oil and gas condensate, in Turkmenistan has reached 93.4%.
