Farmers in Turkmenistan’s Hojambaz Etrap Harvest 892 Tons of Rice

The farmers of Hojambaz etrap in Turkmenistan’s Lebap velayat, in accordance with the established plan, managed to harvest 892 tons of rice from 190 hectares of land allocated for cultivation this year.

According to the Türkmen Gündogary newspaper on Saturday, rice harvesting is also successfully underway in the velayat’s Kerki, Darganata and Koytendag etraps.

Farmers in Lebap velayat plan to harvest 47,400 tons of rice from 10,200 hectares of land this year.

In addition, rice harvesting is in full swing in Dashoguz velayat of the country. Farmers had planted 8,100 hectares of plot with rice x and expect to collect 35 thousand tons of harvest this year.

Last year, a total of 83,000 tons of rice crop were harvested in Turkmenistan.
