FESCO (Russian Federation) and Uzbek Railways will cooperate on new transit routes through Turkmenistan

One of the largest Russian transport and logistics companies FESCO and Uzbek Railways have decided to cooperate on new transit routes through Turkmenistan to Türkiye, African and Mediterranean countries. In this case, FESCO intermodal services will be used.

As reported on the website of the “Turkmenawtoulaglary” Agency with reference to FESCO, an agreement was reached as a result of a meeting in Tashkent between the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the FESCO Transport Group Andrey Severilov with the Deputy Chairman of the Board of “Uzbek Railways” JSC Abdumalik Kamiljanov and the Chairman of the Board of “Uzzheldorcontainer JSC” Akmal Kamalov.

In addition, a decision was made to establish direct container traffic between Tashkent and Moscow.

As the source notes, a subsidiary, FESCO TURAN, was opened in Uzbekistan in October 2022 to develop logistics services in the Central Asian region.
