Festival of music of Turkmen composers opened in Ashgabat

In Ashgabat, at the National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva, a festival of music of Turkmen composers has opened.

According to the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the young composer Ogulgerek Grigoryants opened the program of the festival with a piece for piano of his own composition.

The quintet performed the composition “Once” by Ayna Shirova.

Students of 1-5 courses, teachers of the conservatory, as well as the Special Musical Boarding School at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva performed works by Nury Halmamedov, Veli Muhadov, Danatar Ovezov, Rejep Allayarov, Rejep Rejepov.

Two arias from the opera “Shasenem and Garyp” by Danatar Ovezov and Adrian Shaposhnikov were performed by People's Artists of Turkmenistan Atajan Berdyev and Atageldy Garyagdyev.

The festival was attended by the musicians of the “Camerata Ashgabat” group, the choir and the chamber orchestra of the conservatory.
