Figure skater Roman Kostomarov for the first time from the hospital turned to friends and relatives

The 2006 Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov on his social network page published the first appeal to relatives, friends and doctors after hospitalization, TASS writes.

The skater thanked everyone who worried about him all these months, helped fight the disease and supported his family.

The figure skater was hospitalized in January 2023 in a serious condition with symptoms of pneumonia, he later developed sepsis, due to which his feet and fingers on his left hand had to be amputated. In addition, Kostomarov suffered a stroke in the hospital.

He is currently undergoing rehabilitation and prosthetics.
