Sotheby’s auction house in London put up for auction the first edition of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”. The collection value of this book is not only due to the signature of the Joanne Rowling, but also because it is printed with mistakes.

So, on the back cover, the word “philosophers” is misspelled, and on page 53, in the list of items that students should take with them to Hogwarts, the phrase “one wand” is repeated twice.

The first hardcover edition of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” was printed in an edition of 500 copies in 1997.The book up for auction is valued at 250 000 USD, reports elitethings.com.
