Five Business Agreements Inked Between Turkmenistan, Tajikistan

A business forum between entrepreneurs from Tajikistan and Turkmenistan took place on Thursday, as part of a two-day visit by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Dushanbe. At the conclusion of the forum, five agreements were signed between business circles of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.

As reported by the Khovar agency on Friday with reference to Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry , the following agreements were reached: Polat dokma we sowda Individual Enterprise signed a cooperation agreement with Kolinkhoi Dushanbe LLC; entrepreneur Meret Meredov signed with Nuri Idris LLC; Tajir ýoly Individual Enterprise signed with entrepreneur Shukhrat Nazarov; Hasar ES signed with Fayzi hurshed LLC; and entrepreneur Rahim Begjanov signed with Yokut 2000.

The meeting, held at the conference hall of the National Library of Tajikistan, was attended by representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

As reported by Turkmenistan's official media, the business forum emphasized the mutual interest of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan in developing mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and economic spheres and increasing contacts between business communities.

The reports also highlighted the interest of both parties in further activating trade relations, increasing trade volumes, expanding the range of mutual trade, and implementing joint projects.

During the forum, possibilities for Turkmen-Tajik cooperation in various sectors were discussed, including industrial complex, fuel and energy sector, agriculture, transportation, logistics, and investment activities.

Additionally, a roundtable was organized at the Center for Written Heritage under the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, with the participation of scholars and creative figures from both countries, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker, Magtymguly Pyragy.
