Foreign Businesses Sign Agreement for Purchase of Urea

State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) registered deals for the purchase of urea of "B" during the Monday trades, SCRMET reported.

Foreign businessmen signed a contract with the state concern "Türkmenhimiýa" (Turkmen Chemicals) for the purchase of urea "B" for a total amount of $6.204 million.

A ton of urea "B" was sold for a discount of $76 per ton from the Argus price.

Last week, the total amount of transactions in foreign currency at the trades of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to $77.19 million.

Founded in 1994, SCRMET is the main body regulating export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
