Meeting between Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar Sheikh Muhammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani took place in Doha o February 29.
The website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan informs that the sides have discussed wide range of subjects of bilateral cooperation.At the same time, high level of cooperation, where friendly and constructive dialog established on the highest level is the main factor, has been highlighted.
The heads of the Foreign Ministries of two countries have focused on the necessity of regular consultation and activation of cooperation between two ministries.The sides have exchanged the views on the aspects of regular session of Joint Intergovernmental Turkmen Qatari Commission for trade and economic cooperation.
In this regard, the Foreign Minister of Qatar highlighted that active preparation to regular session of Intergovernmental Commission is ongoing at present time and expressed the confidence that detailed discussion of priorities and perspectives of development of bilateral relations would take place during the meeting.
Expansion of economic cooperation has been highlighted during political consultations.Qatar side expressed interest in participation in big projects in Turkmenistan.In addition, the sides exchanged their visions on regional and global agenda.
