On 13 June, in the course of the session of Turkmenistan’s Security Council, General Yalym Berdyev, who had previously held the position of Defense Minister, was appointed the new National Security Minister.
Berdyev has replaced Dovrangeldy Bairamov who was relieved from his post for “shortcomings during staff recruitment and placement”.
It should be mentioned that Berdyev had previously occupied this position from 2011 to 2015.
