Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, arrived in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, on Thursday for a two-day visit, as reported by Turkmenistan's official media.
At Dushanbe International Airport, Berdimuhamedov was welcomed by Kohir Rasulzoda, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, and other dignitaries.
According to the Howar news agency, the visit includes high-level state meetings and negotiations between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, with a wide range of bilateral cooperation topics on the agenda.
Following the high-level meetings and negotiations between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, a series of new cooperation agreements will be signed.
During his visit to Tajikistan, Berdimuhamedov will participate in a joint concert program titled "Evening of Friendship" held at the Kohi Borbad Concert Hall in Tajikistan.
Additionally, on April 3, 2024, the opening ceremony of Days of Turkmenistan’s Culture in Tajikistan took place in Dushanbe.
