The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Rais of Russia’s Tatarstan Republic Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day, the official Turkmen media reported on Tuesday.
The Head of Tatarstan congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, emphasizing that he is very glad to have the opportunity to visit Turkmenistan again on these holidays.
The sides had a detailed exchange of views on the current state and priorities of Turkmenistan-Tatarstan cooperation in the trade-economic sphere, according to the report.
Rustam Minnikhanov highlighted the interest of Tatar businesses in expanding in the Turkmen market. The Rais of Tatarstan stated that this is facilitated by the favorable investment climate in Turkmenistan and the country’s high international authority as a reliable partner that strictly follows its obligations.
Expressing confidence that this meeting will be another step in strengthening Turkmen-Tatar friendship and cooperation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people wished Rustam Minnikhanov good health, prosperity and further success in responsible state activities, and peace and prosperity to Tatarstan.
Concluding the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conveyed words of greetings and best wishes to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
