The national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov visited the sacred Kaaba in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
According to official media reports from Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov performed a pilgrimage to the Kaaba, praying two rak'ahs and offering prayers for the well-being, sustainable development, and prosperity of Turkmenistan.
The National Leader of the Turkmen People timed his visit to participate in the One Water summit, held on December 3 as part of the 16th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made his first Hajj in 2007.
