Healthcare practitioners and law enforcement officers vaccinated in Ashgabat and Lebap

Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that the COVID-19 vaccinations are underway for healthcare practitioners and law enforcement officers in Ashgabat. They are being vaccinated with the Russian vaccine Sputnik V.

Almost all healthcare practitioners of the Centre for Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases and the Medical Centre named after S.A. Niyazov have already been vaccinated.

Other residents will be vaccinated in March. It is envisaged that the first vaccination will be free-of-charge and the second one will be fee-based, at least for employed citizens.

Staff of the State Water Economy Committee, subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Economy, as well as specialists employed in energy supply, automobile transportation and horse breeding are charged 200 manats for vaccinations.

The second vaccination is administered after the payment receipt is presented.

Vaccinations have been underway in Lebap velayat since 15 February, 2021. Healthcare practitioners and police officers are the first to be vaccinated. The lists of employees have been put together by organizations and police departments.

Radio “Azatlyk” reports that the vaccination campaign was launched in mid February but many healthcare practitioners of Ashgabat have not been vaccinated, for example staff of the Cardiology Centre and the hospital named after Semashko, which admits coronavirus patients.The post Healthcare practitioners and law enforcement officers vaccinated in Ashgabat and Lebap first appeared on Chronicles of Turkmenistan.
