In 15 years, about half of the world's population will be obese

Humanity is rapidly gaining weight, and by 2035, according to the forecasts of experts from the World Obesity Federation, about half of the world's population will have some degree of obesity, the Kommersant newspaper writes.

The number of overweight people is growing in all countries, but in regions with low living standards, this growth is much faster. If the trend of human weight gain continues, then by 2035, about 4 billion people will suffer from obesity.

Among the countries - anti-leaders in terms of weight gain, the regions of Oceania - Kiribati, Tonga, Micronesia, French Polynesia - are in the first place. The least predicted obesity is Vietnam, Japan and Singapore.
