Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as part of a working trip to the city of Arkadag, got acquainted with the Master Plan of the complex of buildings of the Agricultural University, the Watan information program reported.
It was also noted that the Deputy Prime Minister for Agro-Industrial Complex Tangryguly Atahalliyev presented to the President of Turkmenistan projects of the proposed scientific and production experimental fields of this university, land plots intended for work in the field of protection of sericulture and plants, cultivation of fodder crops, fruit trees and grapes, vegetable and melons, cotton and grain, etc.
According to Serdar Berdimuhamedov, for the further development of the structures of the agro-industrial sector, active research activities should be continued for the purpose of scientific discoveries in this area.
The successful implementation of the programs launched and planned in this direction creates the preconditions for strengthening food abundance in the country and increasing the export capabilities of the agricultural industry.
In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to reconsider the above-mentioned projects and hold an international tender for the construction of facilities.
In addition, the President of Turkmenistan noted that the construction of the Agricultural University and specialized structures, including research and production institutes, in the city of Arkadag, as well as strengthening the theoretical knowledge provided in higher educational institutions through practical training, will be of great importance.
Students studying at this university, being in contact with research institutes, must perfectly master the methods of developing agriculture and seed production on a scientific basis, and effectively apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
Today, the state pays great attention to the preparation of comprehensively developed, educated, qualified, hardworking specialists. Young people should be aware of the achievements of modern science, study advanced practices and the latest technologies. To do this, it is necessary to conduct the process of teaching students in parallel with practice.
Noting the importance of a responsible approach to issues related to the careful study of new scientific discoveries made by young people and the proposals put forward by them, with their subsequent implementation into production, the head of state gave a number of specific instructions to the heads of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Turkmen Agricultural University S.A.
