In Turkmenistan, 2 750 people voted in the Russian Presidential elections

The turnout at the elections of the President of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan at the time the polls closed at 20:00 local time was 2 750 people, TASS writes with reference to the press service of the Russian Embassy in Ashgabat.

In total, five polling stations operated in Turkmenistan on March 17: in Ashgabat, Dashoguz, Mary, Turkmenabad and Turkmenbashy.

The Embassy thanked all citizens of the Russian Federation for participating in the vote, noting the warm and friendly atmosphere at all polling stations.The diplomatic institution also expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for its assistance in organizing the elections, which once again confirms the strategic nature of cooperation between the two countries and the deep level of mutual understanding, the statement said.
