In the Balkan velayat of Turkmenistan, a competition of New Year trees was held among the departments of the region.
As a result of the competition, first place was awarded to the Christmas tree of the Cultural and Sports Complex of the Turkmenbashy Oil Processing Complex. The New Year's beauty was installed in the central square of the city of Turkmenbashy, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported.
The height of the tree was 18 meters, and the diameter of the festive decoration at the base was 10 meters. The main city Christmas tree was visited during the holidays by thousands of citizens and guests of the resort city.
On behalf of the trade union organization of the velayat, the winner received a Smart TV from the Turkmen company Aýdyň gijeler with a 42-inch diagonal LCD screen and a built-in mini-computer with Internet access.
Two second places were won by the trees of the hyakimlik of the Gyzylarvat etrap and the velayat housing maintenance trust. Third place was also shared between two contenders for the prize - the hyakimlik of the Avaza etrap and the hyakimlik of the Etrek etrap. They were presented with valuable gifts and certificates of honor.
The initiator of the action, aimed at creating a bright holiday atmosphere, was the hyakimlik of the Balkan velayat. The velayat party and public organizations organized and held the Christmas tree display.
