Items from famous horror films are up for auction in the UK

More than 1800 props from the most famous horror films are being put up for auction, writes the Vc.ru website with reference to The Guardian. The auction will be at the London auction house Propstore.

Items up for sale include “Scream”,” A Nightmare on Elm Street”, “The Shining”, “Friday the 13th”, “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”, “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and more.

The list of lots includes a Freddy Krueger glove with blades (estimated at 400 thousand pounds sterling), a hockey mask and costume of Jameson Voorhees from “Friday the 13th” (100 thousand and 40 thousand pounds, respectively), Sweeney Todd blades with an estimated value of 30 thousand pounds.

The auction organizers also hope to successfully realize the script for the film “The Shining” with commentary by director Stanley Kubrick (starting price 60 thousand pounds), sketches by the designers and artists of the film “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and a book with autographs from the film crew of “Poltergeist”.
