Kazakhstan advocated establishing transport links with Pakistan through Turkmenistan

Vice Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastaev, during a meeting with the First Deputy Minister of Communications, Railways and Maritime Affairs of Pakistan, proposed establishing multimodal transport between the two countries using rail and road transport through the territories of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.

This is reported by the official website of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

The official's proposal came against the backdrop of the absence of direct railway communication between Kazakhstan and Pakistan at present.

Lastaev noted the potential of transit corridors and the need to create an effective transport and logistics system to enhance partnerships.
