Ashgabat’s “Kopetdag” began the preliminary round of the 2026 Turkmenistan Futsal Super League with a commanding 91 victory over “Farap” from the Lebap velayat.These teams opened the first round of matches in Group A.
Following last season, “Kopetdag” became the futsal champion of Turkmenistan for the fifth time, including the last four titles within the country’s Super League format. “Farap,” on the other hand, is making its debut in the national championship.
In another Group A match, “Gumrukchi” defeated “Senagatbank” with a score of 76.This year, eight teams are competing for the championship title.In the preliminary stage, they are divided into two groups.
Group A includes “Kopetdag,” “Farap,” “Senagatbank,” and “Gumrukchi,” while Group B consists of “Denizchi,” “Nesil,” “Migration,” and TCOR.According to the tournament regulations, during the first stage the teams will play a double round-robin within their groups.
Matches of the first round are being held in Turkmenabat at Sports School No. 10 of the Main Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Lebap velayat.The second round of matches will take place in May in the Mary velayat.
At the end of the preliminary stage, the top two teams from each group will advance directly to the final round.The remaining lower-ranked teams will compete in an additional tournament for 5th6th places, which will allow them to join the participants of the final stage.
The final round of the Super League will be held in the autumn with six teams playing four rounds, after which the 2026 Turkmenistan futsal champion will be determined.
