Today, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation in Astrakhan organized a flower-laying ceremony at the monument of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Makhtumkuli Fraghi.
The event was held jointly with the Astrakhan State University (ASU).
The action was attended by Acting Head of the Agency for International Relations of the Astrakhan Region A.G.Aydin, Vice-Rector for Digitalization, Innovation and Priority Projects of ASU A.V. Titov, Deputy Head of
Administration of the Municipal Formation “Privolzhsky Region” N.S. Malysheva, Chairman of the Council Astrakhan regional public organization for the preservation and development of Turkmen culture “Turkmenistan” F.R. Kadyrov, as well as representatives of the Turkmen diaspora in the Astrakhan region, teaching staff and students.
The participants noted the importance of the imperishable works of the Turkmen poet and philosopher Mahtumkuli Fragi for all mankind. The students recited the classic's poems.
