The English “Liverpool” won a confident victory over the Portuguese “Benfica” in the first match of the Champions League 1/4 finals. The meeting in Lisbon ended with the score 3:1 in favor of the guests.
Jurgen Klopp’s wards opened the scoring twice in the first half Ibrahim Konate scored (17th minute) and Sadio Mane (34).
The Portuguese in the second half of the meeting answered with a Darwin Nunez goal in the 49th minute, but a Luis Diaz ball in the 87th gave “Liverpool” a comfortable lead before the return game in Agnia on April 13.
