May 2 was declared a day of in Turkmenistan on the occasion of Oraza Bayram. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the corresponding Decree, announced the news program “Watan” of the Turkmen television today.

The document requires all institutions, enterprises and organizations, regardless of the form of ownership, to ensure the implementation to this Decree.

The holiday of Oraza Bayramy completes the holy month of Ramadan (Oraza) for all Muslims, during which believers fast. Oraza Bayramy has been celebrated as a national holiday in Turkmenistan since 1998.
