Meeting with the Head of the WHO Country Office in Ashgabat

On 14 April 2026, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office in Ashgabat Yegor Zaitsev.

About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.During the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and WHO in priority areas of interaction.

Particular attention was paid to the outcomes of the High-Level Dialogue on Global Health Diplomacy held in Ashgabat in February this year, organized jointly by the Government of Turkmenistan and WHO.

Views were also exchanged on the upcoming joint events planned for the current year.The sides confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening the partnership and expressed readiness for the consistent implementation of joint initiatives and projects in the field of healthcare.
