Mercedes Benz plans to reject dealers in favor of direct sales

Mercedes-Benz company intends to reduce the number of dealer centers in Germany by 20% and by 10% worldwide in the frame of modernization of their distribution network. It was informed by gazeta.ru with the reference to Automotive News.

Mercedes is gradually moving towards organization of direct sales, theу new marketing strategy suggests direct contact of the buyer with the car manufacturer. By 2025, Mercedes-Benz expects to sell up to 80% of its cars in Europe via the Internet.

“Our clients become younger, richer and more digital. They want to interact with us on multiple platforms whenever and wherever they want”, explained Bettina Fetzer, Vice President of Communications and Marketing.
