Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Sun Weidong, who completes his diplomatic mission in our country.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan thanked the diplomat for his personal contribution to the development of interstate relations. In turn, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China noted that the mission to Turkmenistan was a significant stage in his diplomatic career.
The exchange of views on the prospects for Turkmen-Chinese cooperation in the economic sphere, trade and investment, as well as in the cultural and humanitarian field took place during the meeting.
The parties also expressed satisfaction with the successful interaction on the platform of international organizations, in particular the UN, and called for strengthening the political and diplomatic dialogue.
In conclusion, the Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Government of Turkmenistan for the assistance provided in the implementation of its diplomatic mission aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial ties between the two friendly countries.
