Monday Trades in Turkmen Commodity Exchange: Granulated Sulphur, Cotton Yarn

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) during Monday trades registered deals for the procurement of technical granulated sulphur and cotton yarn.

Businesses from Turkey and Afghanistan procured 60 thousand tons of technical granulated sulphur of Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern for $100 per ton. The total amount of the transactions was $6 million, the SCRMET announced on Tuesday.

In addition, Turkish company purchased 24 thousand kilograms of cotton yarn for a total of 780 thousand manats.

Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the SCRMET amounted to more than $21.25 million.

Established in 1994, the SCRMET is the main body regulating export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
