MYNASYP Collection: Original Design and Natural Fabrics

MYNASYP, an Ashgabat-based dressmaker’s studio, has presented an exclusive clothing collection. Owner Ejebay Karyeva and her daughters, Lachin and Shirin, were one of the first in the country to introduce and successfully use 3D decorative elements. Almost all dresses in the collection are decorated with original designer motifs.

Produced by Ejebay Karyeva, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the catalogue features evening dresses, stage outfits, national-style wedding dresses, and casual clothing…

Each item in the collection is made from natural fabrics. Beautifully elegant and stylish!

To make her new clothing line, E. Karyeva used modern fabrics chiffon, silk for bridal veils, velvet, tulle, corduroy, taffeta, brocade and satin. The collection boasts a colour palette of natural hues: green, beige, violet, yellow, and gray…

Golden thread embroidery, acrylic painting, 3D lace, applique, silicon, sheer embellished fabrics, dazzling rhinestones, and Swarovski crystals… to name but a few. The list of materials, techniques and methods for creating dimensional designs on fabrics from realistic to highly intricate and unrealistic is far from being complete.

Apart from luxury evening dresses and wedding gowns, the collection also includes daywear dresses, tunics and jackets with 3D decorations.

The special focus is on magnificent traditional brocade wedding gowns very romantic in style, featuring ancient, Byzantine-like motifs! More than once before, the Turkmen designer has amazed and delighted her audiences by handmade decorative embellishments on her bridal gowns fit for a queen. One has the constant temptation to touch this breathtaking beauty...

Green and red brocade gowns with a tunic (don) or a cardigan decorated with traditional and quaint elements won the hearts of those attending CNR Fashionist-2019 in Istanbul. The skillful dressmakers have also participated in exhibitions organized in Ashgabat and received certificates of the Ministry of Textile Industry and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

Where do these consummate skills, imagination and inspiration come from?Ejebay Karyeva followed in the footsteps of her mother, who worked at one of the oldest dressmaker’s workshops in Ashgabat all her life.

It was she who taught her daughter dressmaking skills. Now, Ejebay shares her experience, knowledge and expertise with her daughters. Her older daughter, Lachin, selects fabrics, and Shirin designs clothes.

Their aim is to expand their family-owned business and step up the production of fashionable clothes.

- Much effort goes into making every piece and sometimes it takes a few months. We design, sew and decorate our clothes ourselves. We would like to make the MYNASYP- clothing brand highly sought after, Ejebay told. Now, our wedding gowns and evening dresses are popular with local women and with fashionistas from neighboring countries alike.

Along with the studio, MYNASYP owns a fabric shop, a clothes shop and a runway. We take orders and help our customers to choose a style of clothing and designs. We have plans to establish our fashion house, to purchase modern sewing machines and to mass produce our clothes, the designer explained.
