Students from Turkmenistan won 22 medals of various denominations by participating in the 15th International Internet Mathematical Olympiad, organized by the Ariel University of Israel. This was reported by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
The competition was held in English, Russian and Hebrew and consisted of two parts a team blitz tournament and a team championship.
Student teams from 9 domestic universities represented Turkmenistan at the Olympiad.
The gold medal of the Olympiad was awarded to the team of the Turkmen State Architectural and Construction Institute under the leadership of the captain, university student Jepbar Asgarov.
11 silver and 10 bronze medals were won by the national teams of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University , the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan (Mary), the Turkmen Agricultural Institute (Dashoguz), the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country, the International University of Humanities and Development, the Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute (Turkmenabat), the Institute of Engineering and Technical and Transport Communication of Turkmenistan and the Oguzhan Engineering and Technological University of Turkmenistan.
The Olympiad was attended by over 400 students in 100 teams from 10 countries.
According to the results of the Olympiad, 86 best teams from the participating countries were named, which won medals of various merits, of which 22 are national teams from Turkmenistan, the source notes.
Let us remind you, that in 2020, Turkmen students, having taken part in the 14th International Internet Mathematical Olympiad of Ariel University, won 16 medals out of 48 awarded.
