Netflix has opened its own game studio

Streaming service Netflix has opened a studio for the development of video games. The head of the Netflix_Games team will be Marco Lastikka, who previously held senior positions at Electronic Arts and Zynga. It is reported that the game studio will release original titles that will not have microtransactions and ads.

It is known that Netflix has been buying studios and entering into partnership agreements for two years now, trying to gain a foothold in the video game market. So, among the streaming assets are the mobile developer Next Games, which created titles based on “The Walking Dead”, and Night School Studio, known for Oxenfree, reports w3bsit3-dns.com.
