Streaming service Netflix is preparing to shoot the most expensive TV series in the world, reports “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.
At present time, “Game of Thrones” is considered the most expensive TV show ever, with a maximum budget of 15 million USD per episode. The cost of one episode of the new series could be 18 million USD, so ten episodes of one season of One Piece could cost 180 million USD.
The One Piece series is based on the anime comic of the same name. The main character, a young man named Monkey Di Luffy, dreams of becoming the king of the pirates. The series will be released on Netflix on August 31, 2023.
