New Biometric Passport Processing Centers Open in Turkmenistan

Starting April 1, 2024, the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan began offering services for processing biometric passports to citizens in the Darganata district office of the Lebap province, the Gyzylarbat district office of the Balkan province, and the Tagtabazar district office of the Mary province.

In line with the objectives set for the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan and to further expand its activities in this field, new centers for processing biometric passports have been opened, the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan announced on Sunday.

Furthermore, through the digital system services, documents can be completed, and citizens' photographs can be electronically printed, which are then attached to the citizen's identity card.

Applications for military personnel serving in the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan or other military structures and organizations, for employees of judicial and law enforcement agencies, and for members of their families registered at their place of permanent or temporary residence in Turkmenistan, as well as if necessary at their place of service, are accepted in accordance with the legislation of Turkmenistan.

The passport of a citizen of Turkmenistan with biometric data is a document that provides the citizen of Turkmenistan with the right to leave and enter the country and certifies their identity while staying in foreign countries.
