From April 1, 2024, service points for issuing biometric passports for citizens of Turkmenistan were opened in new divisions of the velayat departments of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan (SMST), reports the MIC.
New divisions were opened in the Darganata etrap department of the Lebap velayat department, the Gyzylarbat etrap department of the Balkan velayat, as well as in the Tagtabazar etrap department of the Mary velayat. They will be equipped with modern digital equipment for filling out and printing documents and subsequently entering them into an identity card.
The new registration points will save citizens time and provide them with a high level of service when issuing biometric passports.
