Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that on 10 November, 2020 the festivities timed to coincide with the commissioning of some sites, including sixteen new 12-storey apartment blocks and the monument to the Central Asian shepherd dog are scheduled to be held in Ashgabat residential district of Keshi.
President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov will participate in the opening ceremony for the recently-built facilities.
For a few days preparations for the festivities, including dancing and singing rehearsals, have been held in the district and the clean-up campaign has also been underway.
According to sources of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan”, family members of highly-ranking officials and business communities will move into apartment buildings. Those who have been waiting to obtain accommodation for years will not be among new inhabitants.
As a rule, central roads are cordoned off to hold such events in the morning.
The construction works for the 16th stage of Ashgabat urban development are being carried out by the French developer Bouygues.
