New Greenhouse Opens in Bereket District

The Nurly Meydan Farmers Association on Saturday put into operation a new greenhouse for vegetable production in the Bereket district of Balkan province, Turkmenistan, state media reported.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Balkan province and Bereket district administrations, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, public organizations, members of the Halk Maslahaty, lawmakers, elders, women mentors, and local residents. The association is an active member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

Builders who distinguished themselves during construction of the greenhouse received valuable gifts on behalf of the president of Turkmenistan.

The greenhouse complex covers 10 hectares. The site is fully landscaped and equipped with the necessary technical and auxiliary facilities.

The greenhouse uses modern technologies and equipment from manufacturers in the Netherlands, Turkey, Greece, Italy, and Spain. The complex has a designed annual capacity of 2,000 tons of tomatoes. Selected tomato varieties imported from leading European countries have been planted, and the first harvest has begun.

On Oct. 30, 2025, a mushroom-growing greenhouse meeting modern standards was commissioned in the Bitaraplyk settlement of the Kunyaurgench district in Dashoguz province.
