Opening of the mosque for 500 people, which was built by Turkmenistan, has been held in Akina settlement, Andhoy district, Faryab Province, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.At the request of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the delegation of our country including representatives of relative ministries and departments took part in the event.
According to the Resolution of the Leader of the Nation from November 9, 2018, the consulate of our country in Mazar-i-Sharif have entered into contract with Afghan construction company Ghazanfar Construction, Road Work Rail Way Construction Material P.CO for construction of the mosque.
By the initiative of the Head of the State, school and health center have been built in the same place at the expenses of Turkmen side.During telephone conversation between the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, it was highlighted that people of two countries are united wit ancient traditions of brotherhood and mutual respect, common spiritual and historical values, which serves as a reliable base of interstate dialog including in humanitarian sphere.
Leader of the Nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has noted that medicine and medical supplies, food, textile and household production have been sent from our country as humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
Opening of the mosque has become a milestone event on the history of development of friendly and fraternal relations between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.Latest technologies have been used during construction of the mosque, original architectural solutions including in interior design, was and ceiling decoration have been applied.
The complex includes the building for food donation ceremony and rituals, vehicle parking.The surrounding territory is also developed.The officials of Faryab Province, Foreign Ministry of Afghanistan, clergy, public representatives and numerous residents have welcomed the guest from Turkmenistan including honored elders and clergy with great cordiality.
On behalf of the government and people of Afghanistan, the participants of the event expressed sincere gratitude to the Head of the Turkmenistan and to all Turkmen people for fraternal help, permanent support in social and economic restoration of the country.
Therefore, current event again confirms invariable readiness of Turkmenistan led by its leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to continue taking active part in all necessary beginning for development of neighboring Afghanistan, for peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
