Anna Wintour editor-in-chief of the Vogue American magazine, announced the next Met Gala ball’s theme.
As writes RIA Novosti with reference to Dazed, the theme of the next ball of the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Met Gala will be Gilded Glamour”. The theme of the upcoming event is a kind of reference to the “Gilded Age” in US history (1877-1895), the time of rapid industrialization and massive economic growth.
Also, the co-chairs of the ball have been announced. Regina King, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Lin-Manuel Miranda will hold it this year.
The annual Met Gala is the “Oscars of the fashion world” and traditionally opens a fashion exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The ceremony will be held on May 2.
