Nowruz was celebrated at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris with an international event in which representatives of 10 countries of the world took part.
Within the framework of the event, traditional national clothes and dishes were demonstrated, folk music sounded, guests were treated to dishes of national cuisines.
On September 30, 2009, Nowruz was included by UNESCO in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and since 2010, the date of March 21 has been declared as the International Day of Nowruz. According to the UN, Nowruz is celebrated by 300 million people around the world.
