President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has taken part in the opening ceremony of modern Bagabat sanatorium, which has been built in Ak Bugday District, Ahal Region.
Together with new treatment and preventive centre, which white-marble buildings have been erected in picturesque Bagabat Valley near Ashgabat, 16 km away from Anau, modern road leading to the sanatorium have been built.
Saglyk Stella, which embodies the conditions made for strengthening and protection of people’s health as a priority of the government policy, has been installed at one of the intersections on the way to the sanatorium.
Book of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Turkmenistan Place of Healing”, which reveal huge potential and perspective of our country as health resort of international significance, is dedicated to development of balneology.
The work of the Leader of the Nation describes the influence of mineral water, muds, climate, various methods of balneology therapy and contains comprehensive information about local resorts, natural attractions of the regions, wonderful sanctuary places, which hides unexplored healing resources.
In the beginning of the week, the President of Turkmenistan has approved National Program of sanatorium development in 2021 2025, having signed relative Resolution, which approves Action Plan of this program. It provides active introduction of new methods, technologies, services and their improvement to balneology.
The speaker of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, Head of Ahal Region, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and profile departments, representatives of public organizations and mass media, personnel of health protection sphere, elders and youth took part in the opening ceremony.
Music and dance composition performed by singers and art collectives has brought bright colours to the palette of event.
Having expressed gratitude to all for warm welcome, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the speech to the participants.
Integrated development of sanatorium and resort industry, which is provided by the State Health Program, is one of the man directions of health rehabilitation of the citizens of our country, the Leader of the Nation said.
The program pays special attention to construction of modern sanatoriums provided with the latest equipment as well as reconstruction and modernization of sanatoriums, which have been built in wonderful place of our Motherland previously.
The Archamn and Yily Suv sanatoriums in Ahal Region, Molakara and Avaza in Balkna Region, Dashoguz in the northern region, Farab in Lebap Region, Bayramaly in Mary Region and Berzengi in Ashgabat plays an important role.
All of them make single infrastructure, which serves to the people these days.Based on natural resources, we would continue work for construction of sanatoriums, in particular in Koytendag, Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.
With regards to Bagabat Sanatorium, it has been built in the place matching its name blooming valley. Studies conducted by national scientists have confirmed favourable effect of clear mountain air, walk in sunny days on physical health and feeling of people, its mood and mental state, the Leader of the Nation said.
The sanatorium, which has been built by the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, represents modern complex meeting high international standards and is designated for stay of 200 people at the same time.
The sanatorium includes balneology therapy department, water and mud treatment department, consulting and diagnostic department and physio therapy and SPA departments.
High-qualification doctors will provide assistance and services in the sphere of health protection of the citizens, especially in prevention of respiratory diseases, nervous, endocrine, digestive and reproductive system diseases, skin diseases. It has comprehensive conditions for recreation of the citizens and effective work of medical personnel, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted.
We built many facilities in the year under slogan “Turkmenistan Home of Neutrality” including health protection facilities, the Leader of the Nation continued, having expressed the confidence that this sanatorium would make positive effect not only in the aspect of healthy recreation and treatment but also in increment of longevity.
The government always takes care of the health of people and would continue doing this, the President of Turkmenistan said as healthy society is a solid foundation of the state.
Having congratulated all compatriots on the opening of new Bagabat sanatorium and coming 25th anniversary of neutrality, the Head of the State wished strong health, prosperous and happy life to all.
“Let this modern health resort be effective in strengthening of health of our native people!” President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished.
After, the Leader of the Nation has cut symbolical ribbon and entered the building of new sanatorium where the Head of the State inspected medical hardware and conditions made for personnel and patients.
Doctors of the sanatorium expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for priority attention paid to health protection sphere and demonstrated capabilities of equipment installed in cabinets and laboratories.
The Head of the State has asked about the methods of diagnostics and treatment of allergic diseases of respiratory tract, which is one of the current issues of modern medicine. At the same time, the Leader of the Nation has noted that together with modern efficient practices, it is necessary not to forget about national practice of disease prevention.
In general, the nature hides huge healing power. These are medical herbs and pure mountain and sea air and many other things. Many scientific works and researches of Turkmen specialists have been written on this subject, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted.
Developing tis idea, the Head of the State requested the Head of Ahal Region on further plantation of trees around the sanatorium and settlements, having noted that planting of trees is an investment to the ecology and health of people.
Turning of the country into blooming garden is care of future generation. Every year, green belts of the country are added with 10 million trees and 25 million trees will be planted this year to mark the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.
Two 3-storey buildings are located to the main building of the sanatorium, each of which is designated for 25 single, 35 twin and 5 lux rooms. It has all comfortable conditions for the patients.
This zone includes restaurant with diet menu made by dietician, library and internet hall, conference hall and phyto bar, where the visitors are offered with tea, healing potions and various infusions made of herbs as well as appetizers, fruits and vitamin cocktails.
Walk paths and pavilions have been built in developed green zone around white-marble building. The territory of the complex has sport grounds for football, basketball, tennis, billiard, children playground and café.
In the end of the ceremony, the Head of the State has made a memory entry in the Book of Honoured Guests. Leaving the main building of the sanatorium, the Leader of the Nation has handed over keys from the vehicles presented to new facility.
Further, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has congratulated again the participants of the ceremony on the opening of new centre, which is very important for people. Having wised success in their noble mission to personnel of health protection system, the Leader of the Nation has left the place of event.

Opening ceremony of Saglyk Stella, which has been on Archaabyl Avenue in the centre of the roundabout of the road going to Bagabat Sanatorium, took place in Ak Bugday District, Ahal Region.

Measures for improvement of health protection of the population are taken according to the slogan “Health of the Nation Wealth of the State!”.Owing to steadfast implementation of multidimensional Saglyk program, which has been developed under the leadership of the Head of the State, this sphere has been brought to the level of world standards, range and quality of services rendered to the population have been significantly expanded.
Current opening of Saglyk Stella and road to Bagabat Sanatorium has become another bright symbol of grandiose changes in all parts of Turkmenistan in the age of might and happiness.
It was mentioned that President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pays special attention to social and economic development of Ashgabat and its outskirts. Integrated approach to construction of facilities is used in modern urban construction policy, which gives opportunity for establishment of unique architectural image of Turkmen capital.
This is indicated by recent opening of International Burning and Aesthetic Centres, complex of facilities of road and transport infrastructure, which includes tunnel, underpasses and Mahabat Monument at the intersection of S. Turkmenbashy and A. Niyazov Avenues as well as new Diwan Hotel.
All openings of anniversary facilities timed to the 25th anniversary of neutrality of the country are the evidence that provision of prosperous life of the people has always been and remain to be the main priority of the government policy.
Grandiose monument Saglyk has been built at the request of the administration of Ahal Region according to the order of the Head of the State.
25-meter stele and 1,256 area of construction embodies the achievements of national health protection system and large-scale work for health protection of the people and assertion of healthy life style.
The monument, which is organically merged into architectural image of the outskirt of Turkmen capital, is represented by the sculpture made of eight snow-white 20-meter pillars connected at the top by golden rings, which symbolizes fie regions of the country.
Rotating 4-meter emblem of national health protection system, which is installed on 3.5 meters by 1.5 meters decorative bowl, crowns the composition.
Symbolical composition is framed with wild rue stems with 27 bulbs meaning the day of celebration of the Independence Day.
The stele itself is located in 40-meter diameter circle. Total are of granite is more than 1,572 square meters, are of mosaic is 68.15 square meters.
Lower part of magnificent monument from which eight pillars raise up to the sky is decorated with bas-reliefs picturing the buildings of the Ministry of Health Protection and Medical Industry and modern medical centers.
It includes International Centre of Internal Diseases, International Centre of Eye Diseases, International Education and Training Centre, International Cardiology Centre, International Endocrinology and Surgery Centre, Aesthetic Centre, International Centre Ene Myahri, International Centre of Head and Neck Diseases, International Dental Centre, Centre of Emergency Medical Aid, International Traumatology Centre, Hospital with Scientific and Clinical Cardiology Centre, Scientific and Clinical Centre of Protection of Mother’s and Child’s Health.
Opening of super modern medical centers, which are provided with state-of-art equipment, has become a visual evidence of successful implementation of the State Saglyk Program and large-scale reforms in health protection sphere held under the leadership of the Head of the State.
Saglyk monument has been built at 23-km modern road to Bagabat Sanatorium.
5.5-km two-line highway of 9-meter in width is built directly to the sanatorium.
The parade of architectural prime releases under opening ceremony of Bagabat Sanatorium has been organically added with the opening ceremony of modern four-story residential building for medical personnel built at the request of administration of the district in Magtumguly Farming Association of AK Bugday District, Ahal Region.
Big four-story building, in decoration of which modern construction materials have been used, includes 48 three-, four- and 5-bedroom apartments of improved design.
The kitchens of the apartment are equipped with necessary furniture and modern appliances.
The building is entirely autonomous. The same like in all modern projects of residential buildings, it has a boiler and chiller for central air conditions and supply of hot water, transforming substation for electrical provision.
All surrounding territory is developed and planted with trees. It has special premises for food donation ceremonies, field for active games, children playground. In addition, 7,100 Mashhad pine trees have been planted on both sides of the road running through the farming association.
The participants of the ceremony and happy tenants have expressed the words of sincere gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for fatherly care of the nation, its happiness and wealth.
Celebration atmosphere has been highlighted by music and song performance of art collectives.
