Perhat Bagtyyarov won a small silver medal at the World Junior Weightlifting Championship in Mexico

The first small silver medal appeared in the treasury of the Turkmenistan team at the World Weightlifting Championship held in Leon (Mexico) among athletes born in 2005 or younger. A student of the 9th grade of the sports school “Olympus” Perhat Bagtyyarov won it in the clean and jerk in the weight category up to 55 kg.

An athlete from Turkmenistan won a small silver medal in the clean and jerk exercise, lifting a 125-kilogram barbell. In the snatch exercise, he showed the sixth result 97 kg. In the sum of the biathlon, he lifted 222 kilograms and eventually took fourth place.

The Indian Sanapati Gurunaidu became the winner 230 kg (104+126), “silver” went to Ali Majed Kalitit from Saudi Arabia 229 kg (105+124). Erasyl Umarov brought bronze to the treasury of the Kazakhstan national team 224 kg (100+124).

The world championship will end on June 18.
