Premier of symphonic poem “Amadeus” by Rovshan Nepesov is a success in Ashgabat

The musical and literary programme "Mozart Effect" was presented in the Turkmenistan Cinema and Concert Center on Sunday evening, November 10. ...Salieri (actor of the ArtEast Theater Igor Annaklychev) appeared on the stage, dressed in a classic style for our time but not in a medieval wig and in a satin camisole.

Scenography also seemed unusual for theatrical performance - instruments left on the chairs by orchestra musicians and music stands ...But as soon as Igor Annaklychev pronounced the first phrase: “Everyone says: there is no truth on earth, but no truth above,” everything became clear.

It became obvious - Salieri is in front of us. “The idea of synthesizing Mozart’s works and Pushkin’s poetry belongs to Rovshan Nepesov,” Igor Annaklychev said. “Of course, Tatyana and I, as actors, would like to have more theatrical surroundings - wigs, candelabra, etc...

But Rovshan insisted on an eclectic format - not to chronicle the plot, and to make it understandable to a modern audience and focus on semantic subtexts”.In the second part of the programme, one of the most famous works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, “Concert for Piano and Orchestra No. 23,” sounded.

Accompanied by the Orchestra of Rovshan Nepesov, it was brilliantly performed by pianist Nurgozel Nepesova, the winner of the 2019 State Competition among graduates of music schools. Finally, the third, long-awaited part of the concert was presented - the premiere performance of Rovshan Nepesov's symphonic poem "Amadeus".

The author sat at the piano. “The poem "Amadeus" is a summary of thoughts about the influence of the composer genius of Mozart on my work.I always admire his original compositional techniques,” said Rovshan Nepesov in an interview. “In Mozart's polyphony, in my opinion, no external influence is felt.

His author's interpretation goes beyond the traditions of the Viennese classical school or the Baroque style.Mozart is a person of naturals gifts, his phenomenal talent and ability to synthesize various genres are fascinating. “For a long time I wanted to write a symphonic poem about him, for a long time I cherished this idea, until the concept of the work took on melodic outlines.

In some places, I echo Mozart's stylization, trying to match its sophisticated musical language and virtuoso intonation. “I am very grateful to the audience for such a warm welcome to my dedication to Mozart, since this poem is not just a new work, my emotions are pulsing in it, it is permeated with the currents of my love to music”.
