President Berdimuhamedov Departs for High-Level C5+1 Summit in U.S.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov departed Tuesday on a working visit to the United States to attend the C5+1 Central Asia-U.S. Summit.

Senior officials saw the president off at Ashgabat International Airport.

Under President Berdimuhamedov’s leadership, Turkmenistan continues to pursue a foreign policy based on positive neutrality, peace, and mutually beneficial cooperation. This policy builds on the constructive initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The president’s participation in the C5+1 Central Asia-U.S. Summit, held at the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump, underscores this commitment.
