On 6 April, 2018 Amandurdy Ishanov, Chairperson of Turkmenistan’s State Commodity Exchange, made a progress report.
Following the report Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov instructed “to analyze requests of the Commodity Exchange customers and undertake measures designed to improve the activities of the Exchange, including the sale of goods which are in demand in the global market and large-scale advertising of domestic merchandise”.
After the progress report by Babagylych Gylydzhov, the President expressed “extreme discontent with poor performance of the Chamber of Commerce”.
“Turkmenistan’s Chamber of Commerce was charged with the task of creating favourable conditions for entrepreneurship, rendering practical support to organizations and self-employed entrepreneurs, including in the global markets.
However, the results of the activities undertaken in these areas are not visible”, — “Turkmenistan: golden age” quoted the President.
Berdymukhammedov “expressed discontent with the promotion of Turkmen merchandise in global markets, work with foreign partners and demanded that Gylydzhov analyze the existing situation and undertake relevant measures”.
