President inspects Gazha construction site. Due to cordoned off roads residents were late for work (photos)

On 25 July President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov inspected the progress of the 15th construction stage of the Ashgabat urban development plan.

An area in the south-western part of the capital near Gazha was allocated for the new development project which envisages the construction of 208 two-story cottages which accommodate two households each, 18 twelve-story, and 16 three- and four-story apartment blocks.

According to the state information agency TDH, “only domestic state-of-the-art construction materials are being used for residential construction”.

Sources at “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” reported that residents failed to get to work on time because the roads had been cordoned off since 8 a.m. due to the Presidential visit.
